Coeburn today (had just finished playing some golf up on Dan Hall), my golfing buddy and I figured that we would check out the Blue Knights football team. Well lo-and-behold the sight we seen upon arrival, no other than the forum's very own, tossing the pigskin around on the field, Chubz! Needless to say, if I was a player for the Knights and seen someone on my field who has downed Coeburn football so much in the past, I would have introduced you first hand to some shoulder pads! 1st off i believe i'd find a better place to go and play golf... 2nd off i don't think it matters if chubz was on the field or not...... and 3rd off.. i challenge you to a golfing match!

I saw him there myselfn and get this, at the end of practice it did appear that he and his dad were waiting to see Coach Mullins and his dad had some papers with him.

Are we about to see the arrival of the worlds best spiral in the LPD?

Roy, while its not good that he downs the high school team that he's from or has questioned them, he is a high school kid doing it.

You're...not, and yet you're attacking a high school kid. Come on, give the guy a bit of a break. I know Chubz can be annoying, and he seems to think thats a good thing, but I'm sure that most of us did/said plenty of stupid things when we were high school kids as well.

Nobody says you have to like him but you're a man, be the bigger man in it.

That a Boy-Roy, you are as annoying as Chubz sometimes. Give the kid a break. He has been doing better. And if he does play, maybe him and other people will shut up for awhile.

Refresh my memory if I am incorrect, but I do believe that second in line behind Chubz on those polls, was indeed you on the most annoying poster one! And I actually think that the physical forms that Chubz Sr. had was for his other son, who apparently is not lacking in testicular fortitude.

And to PHD, I do not play at Coeburn, nor did I ever attend school there. I just have a few buddies over that way and after work they decided they wanted to hit up Dan Hall for a quick game (win for me).

Yes, I was down there passing.. was pretty happy with my throwing and I think my distance has improved because I threw some pretty long ones and my arm still felt good afterwards. I noticed there were about 5-10 people standing up there on the bleachers watching, so I figured at least one of them would be someone that knew me... not a surprise.

The forms were actually for my brother who will be playing JV football. He's probably going to be playing as a Wide Receiver.. I'm proud of him and wish him the best of luck, especially once he moves on up to Varsity.

My brother can actually throw a pretty nice spiral and has a good arm, too, so maybe I can help him with a few things and he may be able to see a few Quarterbacking days in the future, although as of now he doesn't seem to be expressing any interest in the QB position. (He's mentioned it a few times, but seems to enjoy kicking/receiving moreso than anything else.)

As for the "testicular fortitude" question, I find that humorous. You noticed it was me down there passing, yet I didn't hear a peep out of you.. I probably even walked right past you when we were leaving, yet you didn't say a word? [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img]

Yes, I have expressed my doubts and concern about Coeburn's football program, but I don't think that because I've voiced my opinion, I should be banned from passing on the field all-together.

I pass down there every Wednesday because that's when my dad picks us up. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday are three days of hell, because I have nowhere to pass.. every Wednesday is like a savior to me.. nobody is never going to take that away from me. I'm going to be passing down there every Wednesday, and if you think you can stop me, be my guest.

Anyhow, with that said, the bottom line is that yes it was me down there passing, no I am not going to be playing (it was my brother), and no I don't care what you think about me or if you think it's humorous that I pass on the football field in my spare time.
